University of London International Programmes
Over 50,000 students are registered with and study through the International Programmes in more than 180 countries across the world, making London one of the largest universities in the United Kingdom. The University's fourth Charter in 1858 made it possible for University of London degrees to be accessible to students who, for any reason, could not come to the University to study in the conventional way.  Studying through the International Programme provides an attractive option for those with financial constraints, commitments to work and family, or lack of local access to higher education.
The introduction of short individual course options for career and continuing professional development adds a new dimension to the flexibility offered by the University.
